How we rate casinos
A rating is only useful if you know how it was reached. Here's exactly what we score and how we weight it — the same process for every casino, so ratings are comparable.
What we score
| Criterion | Weight | What we look at |
|---|---|---|
| Safety & fairness | 25% | Reputation, payout track record, audited games, legal transparency |
| Banking & payouts | 20% | ZAR support, methods, limits, withdrawal speed, KYC clarity |
| Games | 20% | Range, providers, RTP transparency, jackpots |
| Bonuses | 15% | Real value after wagering, fair terms, no traps |
| Support & UX | 10% | Live chat quality, help resources, site usability |
| Mobile | 10% | Instant-play performance, game availability |
How the score is built
Each criterion is scored out of 5, then weighted and combined into an overall rating. We prioritise safety and payouts over flashy bonuses, because getting paid reliably matters more than a big headline offer.
What can lower a rating fast
- Poor payout reputation or unexplained withdrawal delays
- Predatory bonus terms (very high wagering, tiny max cash-out)
- Lack of transparency or unresponsive support
- Legal/licensing red flags
